How to Get a Head Without Hunting
Bobcat Head Sculpture
If you love cats, you’ll love to have one of our bobcat sculptures!

Our bobcat head is based on a handmade supporting sculpture. Our artist Merikay creates his coat using several kinds of fur fabric, and carefully adds the forehead markings and other shading with fabric paint.

The Bobcat is the mascot for one of our town’s elementary schools. Do you have a favorite mascot animal?

About Bobcats
Bobcats live in wild places from Canada to Mexico. Hunting mainly at twilight, their favorite prey is rabbits, but they will also take rodents and large ground birds.
Other cats that we offer include a Black Panther, Caracal, Cheetah, Cougar/Mountain Lion/Puma, Lions, Leopard, Lynx, Serval, and Tigers.
Crocheted Bobcat Head Sculpture
Merikay crocheted this award-winning bobcat for the Centennial Art Competition of Los Gatos, CA, in 1997. It won first place, and is in the collection of a member of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce.

We show this image as a sample of Merikay’s earlier work and as a reminder to anyone who has built a collection of her crochet work over the years, that she will still do a crocheted version of any of our animal head sculptures as a commission.

Those of you who crochet should see our books on crocheting several kinds of animal heads and soft-stuffed birds.
If you have comments, suggestions, or questions, please send an E-mail to merikay@animalhead.com, use the contact page, sign the Guestbook, or call at 1-408-353-5037. Is this a good time?
