Our cape buffalo head sculpture is covered with a sleek black faux fur. The secret of his proud, alert appearance is the paper-maché supporting sculpture. Our cape buffalo was introduced at Merikay’s solo gallery show in San Francisco. Since then he has become one of her favorite African designs. He would look grand over any fireplace, or in a cozy den or office.

Cape Buffalo are a subspecies of the African Buffalo, and live in the savannah and woodlands. Like other kinds of cattle, they graze on grasses and other plants. They live in herds that are so well-coordinated that they can even attack lions!
