Our artist Merikay has created many different cow and bull sculptures over the years.
The first was in the 70’s when she was commissioned to do a rendition of the
Wisconsin State Fair’s blue-ribbon winning Black Angus steer.

 This large Jersey cow head
sculpture is the newest addition to our virtual pasture. It was commissioned for the
centennial of a Wisconsin dairy, and features smooth faux fur carefully color-matched
to the company's “cameo cow”. As with all of our cattle, it is based on
a hand built mixed media base, and its nose and eyes are hand-made.Order a Jersey like this one for yourself, or for a deserving friend or relative.

Cattle have been domesticated since about 6500 BC, and are economically important for their meat, milk, and hides. They graze on grasses, but most animals raised for meat are fed corn and other foods that make them gain weight faster than they would on a grass diet.

Our large Hereford head features smooth rust and distressed white faux fur over a hand built mixed media base. Our artist Merikay also makes his nose, eyes, and horns by hand. This hereford has been sold, but you may order one for yourself, or your favorite cowboy or cowgirl.

Just for fun, she includes a working cow bell on a braided cord around her neck. As in a real herd, the actual markings on each of my cows is unique.
