How to Get a Head Without Hunting
Ostrich Head Sculpture
Our first ostrich was the result of a special request from an automotive body shop in Nevada, where they’ve named him Oscar.

Our ostrich sculpture is built over an original handmade base. Our artist Merikay hand makes the beak, paints the soulful eyes, and covers the neck with a nubby fabric. The body feathers come from a genuine ostrich feather duster. Each ostrich made to date has been unique.

Be the first on your block to include an ostrich in your home or office decor!

About Ostriches
Ostriches live in the dry parts of Africa, including the Sahara desert and South Africa. Like people, ostriches are omnivorous, eating both vegetation and small animals. Their natural enemies include hyenas and lions, which prey mostly on young birds. They are the largest bird alive today — males grow up to 8 feet (2.5 m) tall and weigh up to 350 pounds (160 Kg). They are the second-fastest land animal (after the cheetah), and can deliver a punch worthy of George Foreman in his prime!
If you have comments, suggestions, or questions, please send an E-mail to merikay@animalhead.com, use the contact page, sign the Guestbook, or call at 1-408-353-5037. Is this a good time?
