Your
family will smile when you add this bright and bouncy fellow to your home or office decor.
One of the secrets of of our springbuck head sculpture is the hand built
supporting structure. This technique gives him a more realistic look than
other faux trophies.
Our artist Merikay covers the sculpture with several kinds of man-made fur, and hand makes
his horns and big brown eyes.
About Springbuck
The Springbuck (a.k.a. Springbok) is a small gazelle that lives in
southern Africa. They migrate in large herds, and feed mostly on
grass.
This
gorgeous version of a crocheted springbuck
included several yarns in the distinctive pattern of the African veldt-dweller.
We keep this image up as a sample of our artist Merikay’s earlier work, and as a
reminder to anyone who has built a collection of he crochet work over the years, that
she will still do a crocheted version of any of our animal head sculptures as a commission.
Those of you who crochet should see our books
on crocheting several kinds of animal heads and soft-stuffed birds.
