How to Get a Head Without Hunting
Wapiti/Elk Head Sculpture
Your friends will have to take a second look to be sure this remarkable elk/wapiti head sculpture isn’t real.

New!A new image for December 2006, this magnificent elk/wapiti sculpture is built upon a sturdy handcrafted base that is somewhat smaller in size than a real elk. Our artist Merikay glues the pelt of synthetic furs onto the base, and hand-crafts the eyes, nose, and antlers using a unique combination of materials.

A perfect choice for the home, office, or cabin wall of any true wildlife advocate.

The wapiti is one of our largest pieces, and is featured in our How They’re Made section.

About Elk/Wapiti
This second-largest member of the deer family lives in North America and Asia. The term Wapiti comes from the Shawnee language, in which it means “white rump”. Mainstream North American culture calls these magnificent animals Elk.
